A simple and portable Sony PlayStation emulator and emulation library written in C

Hi! I'm Lycoder. I've been working on a PS1 emulator for about a year now. I've reached a point where I can run most games, and I thought it would be nice to share it with you.

The emulator is still very much under active development, and I have tons of plans to improve it further. These include a proper GUI (which I'm currently working on), support for PS1-based arcade boards (such as Konami System 573, Sony ZN, Namco System 10, etc.), a JIT CPU, GPU enhancements like PGXP (perspective-correct rendering), internal resolution upscaling, hardware rendering, and much more!

I'm open to suggestions or any questions regarding the development of the emulator and my future plans for it.

Right now, the emulator is hosted on this GitHub repo, so feel free to check it out!

DuckStation – LightGun Edition v1.2 released!

This is an optimized version for Lightguns. You need to apply the Justify patch for certain parts of the game. The Lightgun should be used in joystick mode, using the guncon's relative aim.

– Add output support.
– Either though direct com for Gun4IR (prefered method, go to controller settings, your guncon Port, Settings and you should see Gun4Ir Com port option).
Or with mamehooker : Settings, General, Enable MameHooker checkbox (you need .NET 8 because i use a third party app to make it work)
– Also added some No Flash Gun cheat that were not build in duckstation.
– And guncon conversions patch if you need them.

The Sony PlayStation DualSense, DualShock 4, Nintendo Switch JoyCons (used in pairs) and Nintendo Switch Pro have many points in common. They have many of the features expected from modern game controllers. They also have an incredibly versatile and underutilized entry that their biggest rival (Microsoft's Xbox One controller) does not have: a 3-axis gyroscope (hereinafter referred to as “gyroscope”).

The goal with JoyShockMapper is to allow you to play PC games with DS, DS4, JoyCons and NS Pro even better than on their respective consoles, and to demonstrate that more games should use these features in this way.
