Wow! this tool is awsome. It takes forever, because it has to minipulate an executable which has to run a power PC executable, which has to then convert the models back to the dolphin, and back to the raw Direct X 9 data. Thats why it takes forever, because its like running virtual PC through Pear PC to decompile a windows executable, and then save changes.

I only did ssbm, im guessing re4 has way more data to rip because the levels will be bigger and more triangles and textures.

I think i found a easter egg on resident evil 4!

I deleted the polycons of the mask from the chainsawdude and found a face behind !

Why there is a face which we never will see it??

and i also think the face behind that mask is animatet :)unsure: )

I finally ripped out the SSBM model.
And here is the picture. Rendered in 3ds max 7.

I have to zip it because the image is too large... 1772x2936, 225kb.
I want to see the quality of SSBM models and textures, that's why I made it so large.

I opened the game and wait for the intro to finish... 20 minutes.
Then, I selected the stage I want... 3 minutes.
Then, when the screen shows, I pressed F12, the ripping process tooks 1 minute.

Well, next time I should play 4 players vs mode, so I can rip as many model as possible.

Data of the model (not the whole stage!): 6377 vertices with 4608 faces.

If you want to import your .3dr to 3dsMax then select to import 1 mesh and not 3000 drawcall meshes!!!
Otherwise your computer will get slow!
just select "merge into single mesh" to get a solid model !

thanks for the advice sercio. oh and mechakoopa the ripping only took 1 min! did u rip the whole level then just took out the mario or soemother way? oh and did u wait for the introduction movie to finish or the demo of computers playing?

looks very good and the textures are in the right place ;)!

Dont forget to import only a single mesh not draw calls !

and i think your ripped model is "stretched" by the y scale....

just rescale and use the trophyground to help (just make the oval to a circle back ;-)

yea that was the only problem. they were like flat so i stretched them out but to what exact size do they have to be im not sure about. there are soem problems tho, liek the bat texture and ness backpack. one of the sides is missing on it. other than that its great! im more used to maya then 3d max 6 is there a format i could export to that maya could understand and it will still have textures?

Hi there i have been thinking (yes i do it some times). This program exports the data send to the DirectX rendering pipeline? and if so then directx is handeling more data than wath goes to the screen, so this would produce a botelnek in the dolphin emulator since the renderer also takes som procesing time, that could be reduced by culing the data thet dosent need to be renderd.

This is just a theory since I have only tried it with SSBM and maby since the game is not to complex (for a real gamcube) the programes from HAL decidet not to use any culing, and other games do.

So I just want to know if other games also export data that dosn't need to be displayd.

Wait for intro to finish.
And also, you can select "VS Mode" and select player 1 as human (you play it) and player 2, 3, 4 as computer. Select the character you want and start.

Hey, but you were the one that said that trick!

And about the models got flatten, I think it's about the FOV.
Try change them, if anyone can get it right, please tell me. I will try it too.
