New Banjo-Kazooie game at last!

Sorry doom, was just in a bad mood that day. Well anyway, we'll have to wait and see really - I have to see more before I can judge it, a trailer isn't enough. I'll play it regardless, Looks aren't everything.

I loved Zelda WW when everyone else was too hung up on the graphics to put it aside and have fun, example! :p - I seriously doubt the n64 design would look good on the xbox360, maybe the look they used to use on posters might've looked good. I'm not too fussy either way, i'm just happy there will be another game.

The image you've attached there is the design that I prefered. I like that style, which is seen all throughout the first two Banjo games. It's the cartoony "roundness" and the way everything is always bouncing around, often with eyes, and talking or making comical sounds that made the series irrisistable!

I like the way they've retained the silly sounds of communication rather than giving the characters (and items) annoying voices; that would be a disaster!

Awesome. I will add this game to Project Gotham 3 as the list of Xbox360 games I must play :p. Eventually that list will grow big enough for me to buy a 360.

I agree Banjo's look in that trailer is really off though... Just that face... isn't right. That picture above is much better!

Edit: This has been linked before, but you need to watch this - Banjo-Threeie Flash - Proof that voice actors for Banjo can be done well :D

Never played the originals much, its a bit like Jet Force Jemini, if a game doesn't hook me within 5 mins I judge the whole game badly. I'm judge mental ;) (geddit?)

Here's an easy way to make the old look work for the 360:

Add bump mapping to every other freakin surface of Banjo and Kazooie. For example, make Banjo's shorts look like real denim (ala Mario in SSBB), give his nose "puppy nose" texture, make Kazooie's feathers all individually bumpmapped.

I agree :p Though I think that possibly Rare would do better if they let the series die... :angry:

Sorry to quote a month old post, just wanted to say that i agree - i loved and love ww too, really one of my favourites. Anyway, seeing this clip actually kind of moved me, thinking about the good old days with BK. Ah, that was sweet...I am really looking forward to this, cannot believe i stumbled over this thread first today, where the hell have i been...Thank god my brother is getting a 360, then all i have to think about getting now, is the game.

I found out this information yesterday (i've obviously very late - but I have an excuse, I was doing exams!), and I was simply ecstatic!!! I had to phone up people too, lol! Reminds me of the good all days.

So do you guys think it will be a sequel (i.e. Banjo Threeie) or do you guys think it would simply be a Banjo Kazooie 1 remake? Personally, i'd think it would be a sequel, it wouldn't really make much sense to re-release the same game (unless there are more features in it). If that is the case, I wonder what the plotline could be. I heard that they're keeping it extremely hush up at the moment.

As for the trailer, that was indeed very funny, but the new characters, well Banjo mainly, isn't what I like, but i'm not going to complain!! BANJO IS BACK! Woot!!!

BTW, guys, me dad got the X360 early this year, i think it was in the month of the release (can't remember when) but I had to refrain from playing on it due to assessments and exams etc. but i began playing it this year about 3 days ago, and that was Kameo: elements of power - which reminded me of how much I missed banjo kazooie. And right on cue! I came online to find banjo's coming back onto x360. Just my luck, all I need is the game now.

What do you guys reckon in regards to release dates? Have any estimates?
