I think I'm gonna buy an old style PSX and make a C3 system out of it.

Basic linux boot; roms stored on DVDs.

system would be:
C3 800Mhz
256 DDR ram
16X DVD (or slower; doesn't matter)
10gb HDD
NVidia GeForce2 MX w/TV out
SB Live! Value
I assume that the mobo would have USB support for the joysticks.

I'd use this system as a emulation and DVD playing machine.

:)

...?
So, half like it, and the other half doesn't like it at all.
IMO, I like it, but one thing it I don't like about it is:

NO ROOM FOR AGP VIDEO! (or PCI)
So if had more room for a AGP video card, I'd put an All in Wonder Radeon card in it, so I would call it a "NES-Vo":D

But the things I like about it are:
It's small, so I could use it as a "network backup" unit or as a router.

It would have been good if it had a good cpu and a Readon 9800Pro inside.... too bad the case is too small. Whatever :flowers:

I think the SNES is bigger than the NES, in fact I think the SNES has the largest space AFAIK, making it the ideal system for doing this. I think the PS2 would be better actually though, and maybe bigger on second thought, but what fun would that be.

As I said however, I don't see why anyone would do this unless they are either a real hardcore geek (hey, i'm a geek too, no insult intended,) or have money to flush down the toilet....

Heh, yeah, convert an Xbox into a PC... *grin* Or you could just wait as it slowly turns into one on its own.

It would be cool if you could easily use your xbox for playing pc games and use it for emulating other consoles.
