Which plugins?

I have a pretty fast PC and I just wanted to know which plugins I should get. I got glN64 because I heard it was the best but it seemed like it actually had less options than the plugin that came with P64 (the original plugin had AA and AF whereas glN64 only had bilinear filtering).

Here's my specs:
Athlon 64 3700+ oc'd to 2510Mhz
2GB 2-3-2-5 RAM at 209Mhz (Think it's OCZ Gold, can't remember)
BFG Geforce 7800GTX oc'd by BFG
Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS
all on a DFI Lanparty SLI board

I'm assuming this should be enough to handle anything the emulator throws at it so I want the plugins that can give me the best sound/graphics/gameplay. Oh and I'm probably going to get a couple of those N64 to USB adaptors so a good controller plugin would be nice too. Thanks!

It really depends on the game.

For the most part Jabo's plugins are fine. Some games Glide works better. Some games Rice is a little better. I dont really use gIN or Direct64 so I dont know too much about those.

For the most part play around and see what you like and what works for you. You may find one has something you like about it that the other doesnt.

Like N64 Virtual Pad plugin lets me select 2 controllers at once. Now because I have the extremely cheap but useful Boom N64 adaptor I have no rumble support. I do however another controller w/ rumble support so for games like Zelda I can still use the useful rumble function. N-Rage's plugin doesnt let me do that.

Look at Direct64 and glN64. They are both very accurate plugins (in games that they are compatible with).

I tried Direct64 but when I use it a little box with the fps flashes in the middle of the screen. Its quite annoying. That kinda keeps me from using it.

Cant say Ive used gIN64 much more than just messing around with games to see the effect on certain ones.

Two ways to get rid of the flashing FPS counter:

1. Use 1964.
2. Set the windowed resolution to the same as the fullscreen resolution if using PJ64.
