Vigilante 8 - so what's the secret?

I searched for a solution, but couldn't find any. Using the default (Jabo) plugins, V8 and V8SO run very slowly. They are not listed in the Game FAQ list as being non-functional, so they must work, right? ;) Searching this forum revealed that Jabo's D3D8 gfx plugin is the one that works, but I have it and it doesn't work. :(

Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks.

Only a handful of games have a GameFAQ entry, because these games are the most tested ones. Just because a game isn't listed there doesn't mean that the game will work flawlessly.

You could try other graphics plugins as well, like Rice's Video plugin or Glide64 with hactarux's wrapper.

There is no secret. Use Nemu64's core to emulate this game. 1964 if you enable frame buffer emulation to fix some issues.

No. Don't even bother.

If anyone even read my documentation, they would have read me saying that no graphics plugin will fix these issues. The closest you can get is to use Jabo's Direct3D 8, which is still far from perfect for emulating this game.

There is much graphical programming to be done in the department of games like this.
