the E70f+SB is 40 dolars cheaper...

anyone who has these CRT monitors??

G75f+B advantages are ONLY ?
(#) max. resolution: 1600*1200
(#) better overall Horizontal Refresh (e.g. in 1024*768 it has 105hz Vs. 87hz in the E70f+SB's model)

At your service, dood!
well preferably you want something that can produce the best picture and at 1600x1200 it is more than likely to be the case, 1024x768 is pathetic imo, I run at 1280x1024 on my lcd monitor and i'd never go back to that res. I'd say its worth the extra 40 just because of that.

Trust me, do not underestimate high resolutions. Plus you future proof your pc a bit by having it available. By the way there is a difference of 1,133,568 pixels (more than twice the amount of pixels in 1024x768). which produces a way sharper picture.

btw I just read the table and then the website, so... the other one you want can actually do 1280x1024, but 1024x768 is the optimum resolution. Still 1600x1200 is still way better than 1280x1024.

1280x1024 @ 66Hz
1024x768 @ 87Hz
800x600 @ 110Hz
You'll never want to run 1280x1024 on that thing with such a garbage refresh rate. It will be fine with the G:

But IMO, the max comfortable res on a 17" CRT is 1152x864, so check what refresh rate it can run at that res. Don't look at anything less than 75Hz - I'm guessing the E will be able to do it, but if the G can do better... it might be worth it.

In any case I suggest you take a look at the monitors in a store, see how flat they really are, are they bright enough, etc.
