Sony Playstation (PSX) Emulator Quick-Start Guide by: Rezo
If you want to bypass all of the configuring steps and the need for BIOS, simply download XEBRA and run ARBUS DOWNLOAD

Extract ePSXe v1.7.0:
Extract ZLIB1:
Add PSX PLUGINS and BIOS Files:
PLUGINS FOR WINDOWS:
*Make sure you Verify that: gpuPeopsSoft, gpu, and gpuPeteOpenGL2 are in the /PSX/PLUGINS/ Folder*

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

RUNNING A GAME:
**Optional** Use IMGBURN to make an ISO File of an Original PSX Game
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:
**NOTE: ePSXe MUST BE RUNNING AS ADMINISTRATOR**

- OpenGL2 PSX GPU Plugin DOWNLOAD MIRROR
- SOFT GPU Plugin DOWNLOAD MIRROR
- PSX BIOS FILE: CREATED FROM YOUR Sony Playstation 1 (PSX)
Optional Files:
- IMGBURN (for Creating a Game ISO) DOWNLOAD MIRROR
- WinRAR Archiver 32BIT DOWNLOAD MIRROR
- WinRAR Archiver 64BIT DOWNLOAD MIRROR
- Additional Plugins LINK
Instructions:
Create Folders:
- Create a Folder and Name it PSX
- Create a Folder in PSX and call it GAMES
Extract ePSXe v1.7.0:
- Install WinRAR Archiver
- Open epsxe170.zip
- Click FILE -> SELECT ALL -> Click EXTRACT TO
- Locate the /PSX/ Folder in the Middle-Right Box
- Click OK
Extract ZLIB1:
- Open zlib125-dll.zip
- Click FILE -> SELECT ALL -> Click EXTRACT TO
- Locate the /PSX/ Folder in the Middle-Right Box
- Click OK
Add PSX PLUGINS and BIOS Files:
PLUGINS FOR WINDOWS:
- Open gpupeteogl209.zip
- Click FILE -> SELECT ALL -> Click EXTRACT TO
- Locate the /PSX/PLUGINS Folder in the Middle-Right Box
- Click OK
- Open gpupeopssoftwin118b.zip
- Click FILE -> SELECT ALL -> Click EXTRACT TO
- Locate the /PSX/PLUGINS Folder in the Middle-Right Box
- Click OK
*Make sure you Verify that: gpuPeopsSoft, gpu, and gpuPeteOpenGL2 are in the /PSX/PLUGINS/ Folder*

BIOS FILE:
- Locate BIOS File or Several BIOS Files (example SCPH7502.bin)
- Paste BIOS to your /PSX/BIOS Folder
OPENING ePSXe v1.7.0:
Windows Vista and Windows 7:
- Open the /PSX/ Folder
- Locate the ePSXe File with the GamePad icon (to the right under "TYPE" it should say Application)
- Right Click -> PROPERTIES -> COMPATABILITY -> PRIVILEGE LEVEL
- Put a Check in the RUN THIS PROGRAM AS AN ADMINISTRATOR Box -> Click APPLY -> Click OK
- Double Click the ePSXe File -> Click YES (if Asked)
Windows XP:
- Open the /PSX/ Folder
- Double Click ePSXe.exe
RUNNING A GAME:
**Optional** Use IMGBURN to make an ISO File of an Original PSX Game
- Put Game ISO in /ePSXe/GAMES/
- Open /PSX/ and Double Click ePSXe
- Click Yes (if asked)
- Click FILE -> RUN ISO
- Locate /PSX/GAMES/ Folder
- Double Click Game ISO to Select the Game
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS:
**NOTE: ePSXe MUST BE RUNNING AS ADMINISTRATOR**
Configure a Gamepad/Controller
- Acquire a USB Gamepad (an XBOX360 Gamepad WILL WORK)
- Plug USB Cable into your Computer
- Allow Windows to Install Drivers (automatic)
- Open /PSX/ Folder and Double Click ePSXe
- Click CONFIG -> GAMEPAD -> PORT 1 -> PAD 1
**NOTE: If it does not show up, either you are not running ePSXe in Administrator mode,
your controller is faulty, or you should check other combinations (Port 2, etc)
