What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

After reading that Mollymut used the procedual texture creation tool of 3ds max for many of his textures, I thought someone might be interested in this tool:

It's a freeware procedural texture creation tool.
It needs a bit time to get used to, but then its really logical and you can do some really good looking textures. Also there are a bunch of really good sample textures, which you can maniqulate.

I don't know what the procedual texture creation toolis. I just made some simple shapes, rendered them, opened them in Photoshop, and then pasted them onto my texture files.

A procedural texture is a computer generated image created using an algorithm intended to create a realistic representation of natural elements such as wood, marble, granite, metal, stone, and others.

It's similar to 3dmax's Material editor. You start with a few predefined fractals, colorize them, filter them, combine them in every way possible to create some very detailed tiling textures of any size you want.

If anyone aims for realistic textures, it's the second best choice after using photos as base material. You should give it a try at least - it's not as complicated as it looks.
