  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

Having an issue with redundant textures ripping in SOTE.


Example:XXXXXXXX......Individual...........Common name
Shadow of the Empire#3BCA2B53#2#0#679762A4_ciByRGBA
Shadow of the Empire#3BFD581D#2#0#679762A4_ciByRGBA

What am i missing? There are hundreds of these in the range.

Solved!!

Roselie over at GlideN64 development has finally found a solution.

This Branch allows Texture developers to replace duplicate texture Hash in the first or second position with ($)
i.e:
GoodN64Name#043D890C#2#0#679762A4_ciByRGBA.png
GoodN64Name#053B6C4C#2#0#679762A4_ciByRGBA.png

If the duplication takes place in the first address simply replace the Hash name that is NOT identical with $ such as:
GoodN64Name#$#2#0#679762A4_ciByRGBA.png

Should the duplication take place in the second part of the name replace this section as:
GoodN64Name#053B6C4C#2#0#$_ciByRGBA.png

Once done delete all the other duplicate files you will no longer need them textures will no longer flash due to missing static textures and your pack will be smaller!
