slowness

Hey, im a 'noob' to all this stuff and would apperciate any help on my topic, bearing in mind i know NOTHING about emulatoes/pc's etc.
Basically, i have a selection of n64 games on my pc and they all run fine apart from perfect dark and goldeneye, they both run very slow and jerky. I am wondering if anyone can please help me sort out this problem? Here is some info on my pc, any help is much appreciated, thanks -
Processor - AMD Duron Processor, MMX, 3DNow, 900MHz
Memory - 256MB RAM

I think my graphics card is.. NVIDIA geforce2 MX 100/200 - thats my graphics card or driver or somehthing (yeah i know nothing)

Your system should be fast enough for most games, but Goldeneye and Perfect Dark have higher requirements which cause them to be slow on slower systems. For these games, I suggest you switch to using 1964, and copy your existing plugins from PJ64 to 1964's plugin folder. The games should run faster.

yeah ive got it and the FPS stays around 40 but it still runs beteer than it does on project64 apart from the sound is poor and it wont let you look at any audio options...mmmm
