Setting mouse as direction pad in Gens or Kega ?

DeadRabbit

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to set the mouse as the direction pad in either the Gens or Kega megadrive emulators.

If so then how please ?

I have tried it in the config for controllers page already.

Thanks for any replies given :)

I can't see how that would offer better control than even the cursor keys, let alone a gamepad. Think about it- you're playing Sonic and want to move right toward the end of the level. You'd have to keep lifting your mouse off the mat or whatever constantly.

Were there any RTS games released for the Megadrive? I gather the original poster wishes to use a mouse for such games. I don't think Sega made a mouse for the system (like the SNES), so there is no way to configure a mouse for movement.

And I agree that moving Sonic with a mouse would really suck.

There was an official Megadrive Mouse, but the only title I can think of that used it was Art Alive (a horrible paint program). I've never heard of any emulator supporting the mouse feature.
