rewiring Xbox controller for PC help!

hey ive wired my xbox controller to a USB and suprise suprise it isnt working probably because ive never done any thing like this before and ive probably got it wrong!...

"GAME" Xbox controller with
Green, Blue, Yellow, white wires

and ive cut infront of this little nobbly thingy which i think is a transformer or something lol so its still attached

the USB cable
white, black, red, blue wires

and ive cut it so it has also got this BIG nobbly thingy which is still attached andmight also be another transformer but possibly something else

so if anyones get any advice either to tell me "what the FU*K do you think ur doing?" or to either tell me how to get it to actually work it would be greatly appericated

The controller won't work unless you have the XBCD drivers installed before plugging in the controller to your PC.

i would have just suggested an adapter like this one

that way you can use it on both PC and Xbox still

You can still use both if you mod it correctly.
