Question on Game Pad Configurations

Hi! I'm using the plugin "padDemul" right now, but what are 'S1 UP', 'S1 DOWN', 'S1 LEFT' and 'S1 RIGHT' used for? Could you explain them? Thanks.

I believe it's for Stick 1 i.e. the analog stick.
