Protecting Auto start location

Is there apps that can stop applications automatically setting up an app to automatically start when the computer boots, or at least prompts you to allow it ?

Think Tooie was referring to a way to make Windows prompt you before anything gets added into the autostart file - sort of like a file protection feature.

yer that is great at removing things .. all removing a lot of things ... but I want thing say in the registry .. but not allow something else, say I run any application I do not always want to be checking to see if it is in there .. Especially if it is viri .. Especially if I can stop it on my fiancés computer, since anything that auto starts should be setup by me .. anything she runs should never be
