problem configuring input device

Hello, I wanted to post this because I believe the project 64 program is a great N64 emulation program. Although I have been having problems configuring my controller to be able to use it with project 64. The type of controller I have is a USB Gravis Eliminator Aftershock. The controller works great with other games, so I know it's not the controller itself. Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to download the proper plugin for use with my controller?. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If the controller is recognized by Windows, it should work fine with the default plugin (Jabo's). Using a different one likely wouldn't help. What problem are you having exactly?

Well the main problem I seem to be having is that it isn't recognizing my controller. Like I said I have a Gravis Eliminator Aftershock. Um also it seems like i have to assign keys for keyboard support. Although this is a good feature to have, I would rather use the controller than my keyboard or mouse. How do I disable the keyboard support?. Mabye I'm doing something wrong here, I'm not sure. Do I need to copy a .dll file into the plugins folder?, if so which one would I go with?. Thanks again.

When you say the controller isn't recognized, do you mean it's not visable in the drop-down list of the plugin configuration?

It really sounds like you didn't configure the plugin yet. When you go into the options, configure controller plugin menu, you need to select the eliminator aftershock from the dropdown. If it's not there, then you will probably need either a: updated drivers for your gamepad or b: Nrage's 1.82 input plugin, available at http://go.to/nrage
Once you unzip that plugin into your plugins folder, make sure to set that as your input plugin and then configure it via the options, configure controller plugin.

Hi again, Well I finally figured it out somewhat. I have the controller working with P64, but see I'm really not too familar with the controller for the N64 so some of the buttons don't work. What I'm having a hard time with is how the C buttons work and also is there a select button?. Well anyway thanks for all the help I keep working on getting the controller to act like a true N64 controller.

Chris~

There is no select button, and the C buttons are a group of four yellow buttons.
See the attached image,

Blue = Button A
Green = Button B
The four yellow buttons (going clockwise) = C up, C right, C down, and C left
L button = left shoulder button
R button = right shoulder button
Z button = trigger button

I think you can figure out the rest.

If you have 4 shoulder buttons they work well as the C Buttons. Select makes a good replacement for L.
