What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

Ok, ok. I"m going to put off the players till I can get the issues sorted out. Heres a brightened up shot from the starting area. I've been isolating texture groups so I can make them all at one go, so they are consistent.

When you turn high-resolution textures in PD do the dumps of the textures actually increase in size..? Nice work btw.
(if so this could be easily one of the best graphic N64 games re-done)

I think that both the low and hi res versions of the textures get dumped at the same time. I had turned on the hi res afterwards, and there were no additional dumps made.

Great work KMan. I hope you can get the character textures done though cause the regular ones suck. They're all pixelated. Also i hope you and Fed can work on Zelda after Christmas. I'd really hate to see it die. I mean, it's nothin' without the KMan

I've been cranking away at some of the First level textures. I've changed some settings with the rice plugins, and now I'm getting some odd results at times. I'm wondering what the best settings are for an nvidia gfx card using Rices plugin. Would it make any noticeable difference using Project64 as opposed to 1964?

Heres a screen of one of the problems I'm having-

And heres a shot of some of the textures I've changed.

These results are kinda "normal".
I get it with the normal Direct3D Plugin too.
It's some kind of emulation bug or something. nothing toworry about, i think.

Those textures are great...a tip (not that you need it) try oversharpening the textures since they do blur alot when stretched. It works on some textures. If it doesnt look good forget it.
I bet Perfect Dark has 2 sets for each one texture one greyscale and transparent for overlaying...dunno why but if you see the original texture overlaying yours youll know why.

I'm still cranking away on them. I'm working on the interior of the DD building. Making models of the wall sculptures so I can get them looking nice and lit properly. These ones will take some time.

I will need to ask you Kman, would I get permission to use your textures (once the entire map is done) to use on my dD defection map on UT2k4 (with credits of course).

Sure, don't see why not. At least they would be displayed properly instead of being skewed and chopped in the emulator.

Alright, heres a pack of ones that will most likely not change anytime soon. I have more completed, but they are on a different machine at the moment.

Note: These textures cannot be used for any other projects or mods without my consent.

I've made some progress since last time I posted. Been so busy and tied down with work, that I haven't been able to do anything just for fun.
