I am at the skedar ruins level and I can't use the IR scanner for the second objective, so I dont know where to blow a hole in the wall to enter the "shrine". If anybody knows what I am talking about and knows what to do, could you please help me so I can just skip having to use the IR scanner for now?

As you cross the ravine after completing the first objective, you get to a dead end with a few Skedar. Starting at the entrance of the room where you came from the ravine, go to the very end of the room and turn left. The hole you need to blow is in the bottom left corner there. You may even see the 'seam' of the hole before you blow it. Using the Phoenix with explosive shells tends to make this easier. You don't need the IR Scanner to progress as long as you blow up the right spot.
