Noob here plz help - N64 USB issue

well i just purchased this, Welcome to www.jandaman.com. and i plugged into the back of my pc. It came with a disk, but for some reason when i put in the disk my pc is not able to read it for some odd reason. need help installing this little gadget, help would be appreciated. installing the drivers(from the site above) didnt help me either because it just had some readme files which didnt help at all. and also is there a specific plugin i need to make this adaptor work?

Download the driver from the site you linked to, extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary folder, right click on the INF file and choose 'Install'.

You don't need a specific plugin to make it work, but if it doesn't, switch from Jabo's DirectInput to the N-Rage Input plugin.

i right clicked on monter.inf and chose install and it said installion failed.........what should I do?

If you're using Win 2k/XP you don't need the drivers.

then what am i doing wrong? I plugged in the adaptor, i turned the little switch to green, I changed my settings to n-rage, i dont know what else to do. Everytime i start up a rom it says "no controller". and im running windows xp

make sure in the input options that the plugged in box is checked
