I just got a wandering about how the N64 game carts vary in size. With the largest sold being 512Mbit (64Mb) So I was just wondering was this simply just the biggest they bothered to make or was it a physical limit. If not how big could they go? I know there are ways of expanding it but directly speaking.
I then started thinking about RAM. Originally they had 4Mb and ended up having a extra 4Mb through the top hatch. But there was talk of only a 2Mb upgrade originally that never came out. But was more possible? Could you theoretically put 8Mb in the hatch or possibly more?
