couple questions

Ok I am using Project 1.5 and decided to try Zelda:MM just to see how it runs. It seems to be running good on my system but have some questions.

I've seen 2 different Zelda:MM Roms. I am using Legend of Zelda 2, The - Majora's Mask (E) [!].v64 but have seen one called Legend Of Zelda 2 - Majora's Mask (E). Are these the same rom just named different? Doesnt matter to me but I am wondering has anyone completed this rom with no problems and if so which did you use?

Also has anyone ever had their save file corrupt on them? I am saving with project not a memory pak or anything. Is there a way to protect yourself from getting a corrupted save? Maybe back up often I guess?

Thanks

Welcomes SnipesXxX, am new here too

Anyway, the [!] beside the name means that its been certified by Good64 and that its not corrupt or anything (!) but i think u shod still check a rom before playing it anyway because you never know if its really been saved.

On the savestate thing, r u using statesaves or in-game saves? Ive think heard something about an error to do with Zelda and state saves.

Going to system/save in project(or F5). Is there any other way to save without having a adapter that allows you to save to memory paks?

about the (E) that means its the european version, the [!] means its a good dump, dumped exactly how it is on the cartridge

and to transfer saves and save to your n64 memory pack, use an adaptoid, it lets you plug your n64 controller into ya pc :)

to high priced IMO. I am happy with using my cordless Logitech Wingman which works perfect. Don't see $30 for some just to save games. Will one of the cheaper N64 adapters work?

You can still make native saves (non-state) without an adapter. Whether mempak or eeprom the information is stored in a file within your "save" directory.
States are known to corrupt fairly often, so it's always best to use native saves.

Also, save states are large in size compared to native states, so using natives won't waste your valuable HD space. :)

uh how does Zelda:MM save? Zelda:OOT you go to the menu and press B to save. In Zelda:MM B is just a return button. How do you save in Zelda:MM exactly?

Do you get your OOT back early in the game or something? I havent played it much because I don't want to play halfway through it and my save corrupt.

Yes, you have to get the Ocarina to save. If you want to know to get it back, go to www.gamefaqs.com MM is quite demading at the beginning as you have 3 days (45mins) to get the Ocarina or you have to start over. After that, you'll be fine if you save in-game often.
