"Needs Plugin" status??

I see this status with no further explanation of what plugin the games need. Is there an easy way to find out? If a particular game needs a different plugin other than the default one that came with project 64, is project 64 smart enough to use the one it needs if the 3rd party plugin is in the plugins directory?

Thanks,
Michael

Project64 can't automatically use a specific plugin for a specific game. You need to change the active graphics plugin yourself every time you want to play a game that doesn't work correctly with Jabo's Direct3D8 plugin.

If your computer can handle it, Glide64 + hacktarux's wrapper or Rice's Video Plugin works great.

Thanks for your response. If I switch to Rice's Video Plugin, will I see less "Needs Plugin" messages? Or, will I see those message no matter what plugin I use?

Thanks again

Rom browser notes are only applicable to the default Jabo plugins. On-the-fly generation of notes for other plugins is not technically feasible with PJ64 1.6.
