N64 GameSharks versions

The GameShark is the n64 developer's bread and butter so I believe it's time to actually take a look at these devices.

Developed by Interact/Datal in Europe shortly before being sold to Madcats. The N64 Gameshark allows users to modify code ie cheats.
Far less is known about the Pro versions 3.3 and 3.2. these include a paralel port only accessed by a Win 98 Win 2x machine (as the port was replaced on pc with USB 2.0)
This allows the user to input codes and modify data.

This thread is to understand the differences in the hardware as there are variations.
I will try my best to show and explain the different versions I currently own.

When a Gameshark is flashed it will become whatever it is flashed to all previous version is now gone. Say you are flashing a 1.09 to 3.30 once flashed 1.09 will be impossible to recover.
Please be sure the original version is in a safe place for historical reasons.

Gameshark dumps contain not only the operation system but also the cheat codes entered on the device including user codes.

Gameshark pro rom dumps may be flashed to non-pro and non-pros may be pros.

And.... pass through!
This parallel port adapter will cheat older win9x games as advertised (untested).
But more interestingly will alow interface between GSCC and even X-killer. Does not allow xplorer64 access but recognizes connection.

GSCC works as it should.

Has port on back but doesn't have led and looks likely not to support port.
Has never been booted in n64.
