Mouse control for 007 etc

Can one use the mouse to control aiming fro Goldeneye and perfect dark? it would be really great!

See this thread. Not perfect, but I think this plugin might be what you're looking for. Takes a bit of customization but works quite well for me.

Also, you can download a mouse+keyboard profile from the N-Rage homepage and then edit it to your liking.

why doesn't someone ever just make a plugin that's made for using the mouse? I'm sure many people would appreciate it. Unless, making a plugin like this is dead hard... probably is...

We did. Considering the limitations it works quite well once you set it up. And no, it's not going to be exactly like keyboard and mouse in PC games, because we're limited by what we can simulate with the original N64's joystick inputs. To make things more challenging, most games smooth out the raw joystick inputs. Buffering helps to a degree, and as far as I know NRage's plugin is the only one that does this.

BTW, the profiles he has up on his page won't work with the 2.00+ version of the plugins. (The newest plugin refuses to load older profile files, because the formatting is different.) On the linked plugin page, I've posted a default key/mouse combo that works okay for Perfect Dark. Check the first post for the link.

Use WASD to move around, and hold shift to go into aim mode (turn off invert mouse in the in-game options). Makes some of those weapon challenges almost too easy.

Someone probably wants to move this thread to plugins....
