Problems with Rice´s Plugin should be posted in the 1964 Forum 
What for Graphics Card do you have?
This problem sounds like you have an older card which has not a function (pixel shaders or something like this), that Rice´s Plugin relies on.
Try to play with the Combiner Settings in Rice´s Plugin Configuration, also be sure that you have recent drivers installed.
