Erm, no. The Voice Pak does not send an audio stream to the N64. That bulky thing it has in the middle of the cable is the Voice Recognition Unit, which interprets the audio from the microphone and converts into commands, which are then passed onto the N64.
I don't know if the Adaptoid plugin will work with something other than an Adaptoid.
Exactly, this is what I'm talking about.
Now, the plugins do seem to work with the Mayflash adapter:

The question is, will they work if I'm using the VRU instead of an actual N64 controller?

Hmm, did a bit more searching and it looks like the Mayflash adapter doesn't even support Transfer Paks, Memory Paks, or Rumble Paks, so my guess is that it's just mapping the controller's buttons to a driver, nothing like giving direct access to the raw data.
Well.. That's quite unfortunate. That puts me back a lot on seeing about adding HLE emulation support for Hey You! Pikachu, since I don't have the original Adaptoid, and can't seem to find any available anymore. At this point I'd need someone else to figure out what data is passed back based on common commands :/
