I need help with Plugins PJ64
I downloaded Project 64 Earlier today and for some reason, when I loaded it it didn't have any preset plugins. (I think it was supposed to have Jabo or something). Anyway, when I downloaded the other plugins, they won't show up when I click the down arrow on any of the settings boxes. Please help, I am confused.

If you don't have any plugins listed then you probably don't have DX8 or above installed.

Regardless, list your system specs.

Are you sure that you put them in PJ64's plugin folder? Also, is your DirectX up-to-date?

1. I will look for Direct X 8, And I will list my system specs
1024 Megs Of Ram (1 Gig ^^;), 500 Mhtz, Pentium 3 Processor, Memory doesn't matter to me but if it does to you, then 35 Gigs (Pretty decent considering how old the laptop is.) Anything else you need I will post, but isn't that everything?
2.Yes I put them in the folder, right after I unzipped them.

Thanks for telling me about DX8, I will look for it, whats next?

Thanks for the specs, but I think 35 gigs of memory is a bit far-fetched. But yeah, you need at least DirectX8 installed, otherwise plugins won't show up.

He's referring to HD space.

Anyway, a 500 MHz P3 won't give you very good performance except for the oldest games (Mario 64 should be fine), and I'll assume your graphics chip is sub-par, which will limit your options even further...

Well, close to the bottom of this page

http://beqiraj.com/download/directx/index.asp

Is where directx 8 stuff is (Thanks to a google search)
I run on xp, so I downloaded the one closest to my os. I downloaded the
DirectX 8.0a for Windows 2000

I assume I don't have to download any runtimes right?

(Afterwards), I will edit my post when I get it finished.

NOOOOOOO don't install it!

WindowsXPs Homes basic DX is Dx8b
XP Pro is DX8.1

IF you have a SP1 copy then it already has Dx9b
and SP2 copy has DX9c
