Testing... 1... 2... testing...

Yay, posted from an AOL connection because my Cable died.

Hmm... any suggestions? My Cable modem seems to be connected as normal, and the Task Manager seems to report some network activity, but nothing can connect to anything.

I've restarted the comp twice and let the modem reset 4 times...

Update: I connected my GameCube to my Cable modem, let the modem reset... and PSO connected normally. Dammit. Software issues. I hate software.

uninstall/reinstall your modem drivers

Modem doesn't have drivers, but network card does. Guess I'll try those later; I'm long overdue for some PSO time anyway. =)

What you are describing sounds like you probably misconfigured your packet driver. Since you're on a cable modem, it's possible that your ISP sets dynamic IP addresses that rarely change (aka semi-static addresses), and you have configured yours for static, but your ISP recently changed your IP lease. Try reconfiguring to dynamic and see if it works again. Odds are that your gamecube defaults to dynamic configs.

Nope, I have a fully static IP, as far as I've been told.

And it works now, for some unfathomable reason. Oh well, computer probably having a bad mood =)
