Hello

I have a very nasty problem with project64..

...when I open it a window pops-up that says:

"Direct3D failed to initialize your HAL device, make sure you have a properly configured 3D graphics card compatible with Direct3D 6.0"

I have a Nvidia Gforce 5200 128VRAM with the latest drivers installed...
and I have tried every set possible already...

Any ideas?

Well, like the error message says, DirectX is unable to use any hardware acceleration. Run dxdiag and run the Direct3D tests therein. If they pass, the problems is a very obscure one, if they don't, you have a nasty problem.

What version of DirectX do you have installed?

Leito, have you got any Java applications or applets open.

such as limewire,.. or Azureus.
