I got goodn64 to work the other day and made it rename all my n64 roms..
then i loaded the list in pj64 1.5 and now it says "status unknown" for all the files.

Doesnt tell a thing anymore.... what the hell has happened?
Is there any way i can fix it ?

I have over 180 roms so im pretty much fucked.. :/
I thought pj64 was made to understand the language goodn64 has? Or whatever.
I hope anyone out there can help me :)

Good64 doesn't do anything to the ROMS except rename them if you tell it too.

Have you tried hitting F5 in the rom browser?

Yes i have. It seems goodn64 has deleted the status. Does this happen to other ppl, or am i just unlucky?

it means you dont have good rom dumps. only [!] dumps show.. not even PD's show! (dont ask why)..

so more then likely if they showed before, and dont now, re-install pj64 *shrugs*

I'm telling you, GoodN64 does not do anything to a rom except for changing the filename.

Perhaps you deleted the rdb file?

phew.
yes reinstalling pj64 worked :)
Thank god, losing status of that many files really got me scared :/

So i have to reinstall pj64 everytime i rename using goodn64? That is odd. How come that is needed ?
Btw, do u know if pj64 has any plans of making goodn64 a part of pj64 or something like that?
So pj64 can fix all of it, nice and simple :)

I had alot of trouble finding out how to make goodn64, and then also all the other good utilites. (goodgbx, goodsnes etc)

Thanks for the help.

If i recall, when rename is apply by Goodn64, it creates another directory with the good/renamed roms on it, change that in the Directories tabs...

although this is a day late..

whatboy is most likely right. i had the same problem. i used goodn64 and all my roms were messed up. what i figured out was pj64 doesn't refresh your rom list when you run it, it uses the same one it had before. so if all your roms were moved or renamed it doesn't know that and still lists them there even though the file was moved. so if you try to load the rom it doesn't know it was moved and will not run the rom. you have to redirect it to the new rom folder. then all should work fine.

yes we did that to speed loading.. doesn't obviously explain why it couldnt get status data from the rdb. dunno, not a big deal.

if its not loading the status theres a good chance it isnt loading any of the ROM settings... important.
