Going Waaay Off-Topic in the Waaay Off-Topic forum - is it a crime? (mass debate!)

Now, as our common users may see, me and Smiff just went off topic in the Waaay Off Topic forum. Now, since it was done in a humoristic, and even an educational way, it's allowed. But going off topic and turning a thread into a flaming fest is bad, so on such occassions it's a no-no.

Depends on what you mean by off topic. If I start a thread about the best pr0n stars in the world and someone posts something about computer gaming in there, that's off topic. It's not a sin, but damn.... It'd piss me off.
I voted no, since it's the way off topic forum, and some people just need room to be assholes, so they aren't the rest of the time. It's kinda rude, but a crime? I don't think so.

I have been so sick of people complaining about going off topic in the way off topic section. This is what it's here for. The description for Talk of the Town is that you can "talk about anything". Way off topic's description is "more off topic than talk of the town". Gimme a break people, that sounds pretty all inclusive to me. Nobody gains any posts so it's no harm no foul. I draw the line at porn, etc.; but breaking the rules is a different story. I would've posted this earlier, but I knew that it would have to come from someone with some gained respectability.
