hey i just download this thing to try it out and after i extracted it and clicked on it an error comes up saying "you must install .NET Framework: v2.0.50727" do you know where to get this or what to do?

Yep. Run Windows Update (http://update.microsoft.com), and click "Custom". After the scan, click on the tab to the left that corresponds to optional updates. Check off the updates that looks like .NET. There may be multiple versions, depending on how out-of-date your computer is, but when I had XP I just installed all of the optional updates.
