New to this forum, and itching to test out some features of the new update for 1.6^_^

But first... some of my roms are downloaded in separate .rars (as the service provider said "they are too large"). For example, my Ocarina of Time is in 2 seperate files, one 20.1 mb large and the other 1.4mb. I tried opening the 20.1 mb file and it's working just fine, but if so I have no clue why it's in 2 seperate parts. Have i not gotten to a point in the game yet where it needs to load the second part?

Help a noob :) thanks again

What's the contensts of the 1.4MB part? Chances are that the active was split from ~20MB, so when you opened and extracted the first part, the second one automatically extracted too.

There is no way the game would work had you only extracted the first part. Furthermore, even though some emulators support split rom images (non-compressed; usually like romname.1, romname.2 etc.), Project64 isn't one of them, AFAIK.

both are .v64/z64 files

oh yeah.. Don't think it is possible to "split" a rom into 2 separate files as the bytes would probably get mixed up so.... any answers>?? :(

If the first part works as is, then the 2nd part is probably just excess trash.

Anyways this isn't a PJ64 issue, nor is it anything we deal with on this forum.

If you are unsure about the game > use GoodN64 and scan the rom.
