Do i need a joystick?

When I run my rom it says joystick not detected, then it boots my rom anyway and then in SSBM(my rom)it says memory card in slot A is corrupted. I try to click to format but i dont know how to move without joystick. I dont got a joystick, so do i need one to play my rom? Thanks.

EDIT: Nevermind. Found it when I posted this. I hate when I do that.

Sorry for double post,but I got another problem. I am at the character screen and pick my character, then lcick start to start single player,vs it just sits there not going to stage picking or just start single player. It says my fps are 16 at character screen. Any help is appreciated.

The emulator does not work properly yet, nothing you can do.

Some games go in game depending on the dolphin version you have and the game file you have, either way it would run slow or not at all.

It's not worth playing yet at any rate.

Alright I will just stick with my gamecube till a new version is available. Dont get me wrong this emulator is very amazing with loss of fps but not bad. Keep up the good job team!
