DirectX 9 installation problems

jelbo

Nintendo emulation fanatic!
Well, I decided to install DirectX 9 together with some new videodrivers that used it, after making an image with Ghost. Anyway, I downloaded the DirectX 9 Redist package (approx. 32mb), but when I try to install it, it comes up with a nasty message that says (roughly translated from Dutch);

"The software that you're about to install does not comply with the Windows Logo test, that checks compatibility with Windows XP.

The software won't be installed. Please contact your systems administrator."

And after that;

"DirectX hasn't copied a required file."

As for the feature of Windows checking if a driver/program is 'signed' or 'certified, I've turned this option off in the Sytem Properties, Hardware tab.

I'll also attach a screenshot of the window.

My specs are in my sig, and I've currently got DirectX 8.1 installed. (I think, unless WinXP SP1 contained DX 8.1b). ANy help would be greatly appreciated; I guess I have to do some things in the Registry, but I don't have a clue what.
