Direct 3D won't initilize...

I've been going through FAQs and older thread hoping to find a solution, but nobody seems to be having this problem

Here are screens of the error msg:

first of all 1.6 is out and second of all what is your graphics card

Yup, I installed 1.6... I think. The folder name is still the same though, all I did was unzip the files into my PJ64 folder.

My graphics card is: Radeon 9200 SE

update your drivers at www.ati.com
also check you color setting in in windows and see if it's on 32bit. 24bit will not work 16 bit will for older cards

Okay, I just d/led and installed all the drivers and software.

Latest version of
-Catalyst: check
-ATI MMC: check

Color is set to 32bit....

Same error messages :x

try 16bit color aalso make sure you have the lastest directx

Project 64 1.6 does NOT come in a zip file. If you downloaded a release of 1.6 in a zip, it isn't official and I'd recommend against it. http://www.pj64.net/ 1.6 has an installer (due to people wanting an easy way to clear registry settings and all that other stuff etc etc)
