.CMDL format and making a 3dsmax plugin.

OK so, looking through the MPxViewer source i found a file called CMDL.cpp, this is how the program reads the format, but how would i go about making a plugin or maxscript for 3ds max that would read these files with the UV data intact so that they can later be used for something like Garry's Mod or a 3d animation?

any help would be greatly appretiated.
