This should allow 98 to access the CD link XP. But I'm not sure if this is the only issue.
My 98 machine is my arcade cabinet... and I can't easily test it.

Also, Microsoft seems to have posted code to make the changes to allow access on 98 also. But I didn't see if its switching to aspi drivers or to get the ioctl wrapper working.... Sorry, did research at the office... Couldn't dive into it too deep....
And after all this... I'm assuming that the developers have already tried this (ie, google search) so this is probably a non-issue.....
