Hi everybody. New here, new to N64 emulation also.

I recently only tried Mario Party so bare with me here. Have some problems with some mini games. What happens is it went EXTREMELY SLOW!!! on some games, took up 100% of my CPU power to the point that I thought the game froze. but after waited for 10 minutes for the race to finish, it's back to normal.

Now my specs is on my sig. I'm using 1.5 with default everything, and haven't mod anything yet. Any help or suggestion?

We have been discussing the slowdown of the mini-games in Mario Party 3 in this thread.

Check it out and you will see that it takes a heck of a processor to play these mini-games with a decent framerate. So us slowpokes will just have to wait for an improvement in the code.

Or go buy a faster processor. :D

Won't solve it, as stated in that thread.
It's not specific to the processor; it's something else. I would've guessed it's framebuffer if it wasn't as slow with the 1.4 plugin too, and those before that...

I'd figure processor shouldn't be in factor. I think it has to do with 3d tweaking since I notice it slow down a lot more on areas that deal with multiple texture on multiple poly. Hope someone could figure out how to correct this.

Help. I think I read it somewhere to fix this, but I can't seem to find it now. I updated my video drivers today to det. 40. and now, I can't seem to load mario party 2 nor 3. After the hudson splash screen, the screen turns blank. No music, and I have a constant 60 FPS. I tried changing the video driver to det. 30, but now I'm still having the same problem. My videocard is in my sig.
