I have a 3ivx video file and I'm trying to convert it to an mpeg so I can burn a vcd in Nero. I tried TMPGEnc and the projected time to convert was 24 hours... isn't there a quicker way?
Depending on your system spec, Tmpeg should be able to convert a movie pretty quickly. It's easily the quickest and best mpeg encoder I have used. It should take a few hours or so per film, if you use the "motion search precision" setting (or whatever it's called) for the quality level. If you're converting a single cd 3ivx, make it into a 2 VCDs. If you've got a 2-cd 3ivx, make it into 3 VCDs.
