So i made some googling and found out Gamecube discs are called MiniDVD.Arent the same used in digital cameras?I thought about trying to rip an iso from my gamecube discs.I used dvd decryptor. To my surprise it was able to read the size of the disc and give some info. What does this mean?Gamecube teorically uses a half cut dvd?If no then how the heck could dvd decryptor give these infos? It even read how many sector the disc had!But however,it couldnt make the actual iso, some I/O Error...
Im a noob in this.Doesnt anyone wake in iso of its disc on the PC to use it with an emulator? If no then does that mean you download a huge rom of the game when you actually own it??Thats just not cool.
Help me!

Conventional DVD drives can't read GC discs. For further information, head back to Google. As the forum rules indicate, it's not permitted to ask how to rip ISOs here.

There are some DVD players that can read the NGC disks, but you need a proper program to do that.
And you are legaly not allowed to download a rom. Even if you own the game.

I own the game.If your country still doesnt allow it,then allow me to change my question:
Are MiniDVDs for Gamecube and Digital cameras basically the same? Can I put the MiniDVD FROM CAMERA to my PC dvd drive and move the files? There, dont see illeagal stuff now.
Btw,if roms are completelly illeagal here, then how do you play the games with emus, just put the disc in the drive? But then you just said you cant run it like that.Soo...what do you use the emulator for O_O ?

Regular DVD-ROM drives cannot read GameCube's discs as is, you need to rip the disc contents into a CD image in order to use it with the emulator. It's the same with all emulators, unless system in question uses regular CD-ROM or DVD-ROM discs as its media. With older cart-based systems, you dump the ROM(s) from the cart and with disc-based systems you rips the files off the disc to a CD image or use your own, authentic discs with the emulator.

ROMs are not illegal as such, downloading ROMs of any kind from the Internet is, however. The only exception are Public Domain ROMs or games that the original developer has given his/her explicit approval for for free distribution. Outside of that, the only legal way to use ROMs in emulators if to rip them yourself, from the media you own, and never give them to anyone else.

DO NOT!
  • Ask how to rip ISOs.

The information is out there, search for it. No, I can't tell you how to rip GameCube discs.

And you can find the information you're looking for in less than 30 seconds of Googling. (At least I managed to.) It's not a big secret or anything; it's just something that's not discussed here to avoid legal complications.
