Graphic Problems (All Games)

I've tried looking around on the forum for answers to my problems but I couldn't find any, so I thought I would make a topic. First off, I would like to say hi since I'm new to this forum :). Anyways, I'm using Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6 and I just have it on the default settings. I've tried messing around with the settings but it just makes my problems worse.

Here's some screenshots:

(I just used OoT as an example because I play it the most)

1. The black rectangle shouldn't be there.
2. The fire looks odd.
3. The Ocarina notes aren't appearing.

My graphics card: Intel(R) 82815 Graphics Controller

I think the problem may be because my graphics card only supports 24-bit and 16-bit and you can't use 24-bit. Although I doubt this because my friend says he has his set to 16-bit and it plays fine.

If that isn't the problem, I think it is because I have the settings wrong.

Integrated graphics, in particular Intel's, are the devil. (Upgrading your graphics device is definitely a good idea if that's plausible.) Also, make sure you have up-to-date drivers. You might try Jabo's Direct3D6 1.5.2 plugin, as I understand it may resolve some of the issues with Intel's chips.

make sure you have the final driver from your computer manufacture

Where do I get a driver?

Is it something I have to buy or can I download it somewhere?

Edit: It says I have the latest drivers.

you can download intel extreme drivers from the intel support and driver site.

as you have an 845 though, you will need to run PJ64 in 16bit colour as it doesn't support 32bit colour.

it only supports 24bit colour

32bit colour is 24bit colours + 8bit alpha channels, which is why alpha(transparent textures) doesn't work properly on graphic chips that don't have 32bit colour

That video card really stinks for emulation.

buy another, like an GeForce 6200 that it´s really cheap and excelent for emulation
