  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

Why hasn't anyone made a faithful Majora's Mask texture pack?

I gained an interest in N64 texture packs way back when I was in middle school, and they inspired me to become a bit of an artist myself. However, looking back on the packs I've owned, some of them, Bluedart's and Djipi's Majora's Mask packs in particular, are honestly... kinda amateurish. Now, I'm not saying that to troll or be mean - let me clarify. The environment and object textures all look amazing - even Deku Link's textures look great, as do a lot of the masks. But the big problem I have with the textures is, none of the characters look the way I remember them. In Bluedart's pack, Anju's lips are jagged and not symmetrical, as if someone just used the magic wand tool and copied someone's lips from a photo, and her eyes and clothes don't look anything like her. Some characters have completely different hair color and faces, and Link's eyes are hideous (to me.) I guess you could say the color and face differences are part of artistic preference, but when I play an HD version of Majora's Mask, I want an HD version of Majora's Mask.

The closest I've seen to the original textures is Djipi's unfinished "Real" pack from 2006, and even so, the Curiosity Shop salesman isn't supposed to have white hair.

So, rant aside, can someone please explain to me why nobody has tried to do a texture pack that's as faithful to the original as it can be? It seems like it would be a really awesome idea.

Edit: Also, the moon has no teeth. That's always bothered me.
