make sure u are using the right video plugin (mainly jabos DX 1.5) and make sure u have pj64 1.5, and if it says it crashes on the notes, it obvoisly doesnt work

Attention,

Is there *any* stop error after some seconds of a video freeze?

That is a sign of the infinite loop crash.

Are you getting a THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER
stop error crash?

The first symptom when the infinite loop crash is imminent is the following:

1.The video freezes

2. PC reboots after approximately 15 or 30 seconds of frozen
video.*

* By default with Windows XP and Windows 2000, if a stop error
occurs, Windows will automatically reboot the PC.
To have the error screen display, you must uncheck
"Automatically restart", which is found in:
Control Panel> System> Advanced> Startup and Recovery.

?????????????????????????
Visit smiff's site and look out for bad to good patches as they're called. They can patch a bad rom to a good rom, not having to download as much.

I patched it and now I get "Error In a permanent loop that cannot exited. Emulation will now stop. Verify ROM and ROM Settings." :(

Re: patch

Oops, you probably corrupted your ROM dump file for at least one of the following reasons:

1. You patched a N64 ROM that is already good.

2. You used the wrong ROM patch for your version of N64 ROM dump.

3. I heard that you are *REQUIRED* to change the byte order of
the N64 ROM to big endian *BEFORE* patching it.(UNCONFIRMED)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Or possibly:

Self modifying code handling *NOT* set to at LEAST
"Check Memory and Cache".

To change the self modifying code handling method,
go to "Rom Settings".

well when patching, its always best to back up the file you are patching, remember that for the future, looks like u will have to re-download a good version of the rom
