to use with this ROM... these games would be way more fun with a controller in my hands, which one is the best for these.

Depends on your tastes and how much you're willing to spend.

If you loved the N64 controller, then Toasty's suggestion is dead on. If you didn't, but prefered the PSx styled controllers, you should go with that (since they have adapters for almost EVERY controller type). If you wanted to, you could use the X-Box controllers, those are really great for playing your games AND offer you all of the buttons in a very decent format for gaming. Hell, you could even try the GBC controller, because that's pretty decent too.

In the end, it's always best to go for what you're comfortable with and what you can afford. So in the end it's up to you what controller to get. Me? I'm using a Playstation 2 Dual-Shock controller with a Radio Shac USB-to-PSX adapter. It works great, and I have perfect rumble function and everything is smooth.

That's a nice choice. If you have a Radio Shac near you, go there and get the RadioShack 26-729 "Playstation-to-USB Adapter". It allows you to install a PSone or PS2 DS controller (I recommend OFFICIAL PS controllers, NOT third party, EVER) and calibrate it in the Gamepads part of your control panel. Plus it operates with DirectX drivers, so you will have a MUCH better experience with it working in PJ64 and OTHER emulators (I'm using the same controller for NES, SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, and N64 FLAWLESSLY). It supports the Rumble, and lets you get almost perfect Analog stick emulation.

Have fun!

Pretty much any USB controller will be better than the keyboard for most N64 games, provided it has at least one analog stick, a D-Pad, and enough buttons. N64 pads will work best, but most Logitech controllers can also do the job.
