I saw over at <a href="http://www.emufanatics.comEmuFanatics that a new version of the great GBA emulator VisualBoyAdvance has been released, and it fixes the skin problems. Here's a list of changes:

Windows:
- fixed skin problems on Win 95/98/Me/2000
- fixed right-click problem on Win 95/98/Me/2000
- fixed problem when Gameboy Printer was enabled
- fixed problem on Flash size menu not showing correct setting

Forgotten also lets us know that he's made a GUI for the region creator and new translations are available as well. Check out the website for the full story, and to grab the downloads.

I've got it now.

Here's the ini I wrote:
[skin]
image=Clements 2.bmp
region=Clements 2.rgn
draw=227,438,240,160

Remember use paint to get the x and y coordinates of the top left corner of your rectangle. 240X160 is the standard size of the rectangle (but you can have others I believe). Yay!

Martin,

FYI, the link to VisualBoyAdvance (above, and on the Emu64 page) goes nowhere. Just a heads up tp anyone who might click it (like me).

Nice job on the other site updates, BTW. :)

Found a serious bug, Super Mario Advance 3 - Yoshi's Island (E) [!] does not work. It's a good dump, so it should work. This screenshot shows how far I get before the game hangs. I've also tried Yoshi's Island - Super Mario Advance 3 (U) [hIRff][f1] (EEPROM) Admitedly this is a bad rom, but exactly the same thing occurs.

If there is a version out there that does work, do tell.

I use (0593 - Yoshi's Island - Super Mario Advance 3 (U).gba). It runs with no problems even with new 1.5a VBA. :emutalk:

Clements, can't you just capture the relative information (alt + printscrn) instead of capturing the entire screen? Or at least resize it to around 640x480. It's annoying to view such large pictures imo.

jjarmis- That's exactly what I needed to know! Downloading the file as we speak.

Doom- You know I normally do... ('cept from screenshot submission) but I forgot to this time. Won't forget again.

It's good with a little reminder sometimes, ne? I'm sure it won't happen again :)

Anyway, I know how to fix the problem! I was using the GBA BIOS file, so as soon as I turned it off, all my Yoshi's Islands started working. So, don't use the BIOS with this game! Phew!
