Video Card Problem? ATI Radeon 9250.

This message comes up when i open P64.

Direct3D Failed to initialize your HAL device make sure you have a properly configured 3D graphics card compatible with Direct3D 6.0

I have a ATI Radeon 9250. Windows XP.

After searching through the forum. I found the answer, gotta change it to 16 bit.

err,, that shouldn't be needed actually...

sorry if im mistaken but the 9250 is a Dx 8 card meaning it should run fine in 32bit mode.

tried updating the drivers?

go to www.ati.com and update your drivers you should have no problem

Thow the radeon 9250 maybe an out dated card, it still full suports directX9.

It's a DirectX8.1 card, so it doesn't take full advantage of what DirectX9 has to offer.

Oh well.

it doesn't take advantage of anything that Dx9 has to offer actually. Dx8.1 is not a programmable api like Dx9,.. i guess thats why Jabo is so limited with that he can do with it.
