Too Fast!

I never really thought this would happen to me, but Project 64 is too fast! I just got a new computer and I'm running PJ64 and playing SUper Smash Bros. and it goes super fast. it is hard to keep up! is there any other way to lower the FPS more then the "Limit FPS"? Help please!

You can try "sync audio to game" in the sound plugin settings (make sure you are using Jabo's plugin).

It must work, just press F4 or increase the resolution.

I've tried everything. The audio is synced, and the FPS is limited. It is still hello fast, too fast to play Super Smash Bro still. Is there anything else I can do? (thanks for all your help!)

It should work, but you can try the following:

- Finetuning the advanced options (ajusting the CF etc.)
- Setting the resolutions as high as possible.
- And in extreme cases, switching to interpreter may do the job.

I myself have had simmilar issues with many other games (body harvest intro).
In any case, sync game to audio is slightly off anyway. Long animation sequences will eventually casue the music to fall out of sync with what is happening on the screen.

I have super smash brothers. It's not super fast when i play it...When you are playing it what is the FPS numer? its near the bottom right.

the FPS is 59 to 60. without it limited it is about 200, maybe much faster, I forgot.

59-60 is normal speed for the game unless it's the E version of the rom. Have you tried 1964? Also try some other gfx plugins.

hmm, i like pj64 better. i don't want to switch. and the other plugins: some are messed up, some have bad graphics, etc. can't find the right one

The best plugin for smash bros is glide64. If you plan to use it, make sure that you get evoodoo and install it in the system32 folder.

You can find both evoodoo and glide64 in the downloads section. Look in the gfx plugin archive for glide and look in glide wrappers section for evoodoo.
