stunts?? waverace??

I downloaded the japanese and the USA version of waverace but I can't do the tricks. Did someone has the same thin or did I do something wrong???
I play the official N64 version and there I can perform the tricks but on a emulator it doesn't work :-(
can someone help me??

You may need a gamepad with an analog stick to do this, if you don't have one try a mouse.

never mind!!
I've got the problem
I had the range on 40% and that's why i couldn't perform any trick. Now it stands on 64% and it works great.
