Slow???

Hmpf?..where did my thread go? :-/
Ok...once again in short form:
I heard Nemu is a very fast emu, so I dowloaded the 0.8 version...
But it's damnably slow o_O
I had Nemu 0.7 some time ago...and it was with good speed...but now...I dunno what's wrong...
I even used the graphics plugin in other emus and it was slow also...
Anyone got an idea?

My specs are Celeron 466MHz, 128 MB RAM, 16MB TNT1
I know it's poor...but it should run faster I guess...

It's your video-card. Lemmy's plugin is too advanced for your card. You should try Jabo's GFX 1.5. I'm sure this one will run a lot of games at a playable speed.

Aaah...I thought Lemmy's plugin was good low-end-machines (didn't you write something like that in your (otherwise very helpful! :) ) thread for low end machines?)...
Well...I always use Jabo's anyway...but is Nemu still faster with Jabo's plugin than 1964 or so?

For Lemmy's plugin you require a faster video-card because Lemmy's plugin is using anti-aliasing.

Nemu is very fast with Zelda (I think almost at full speed at your PC), but it's worse with Rare games (the brand Rare), and a few others.

By the way, Rice's plugin is becoming very fast too. It contains frame-skip and more tweaks too get better speed so you can give it a try too.

Hm...can't one change the input and audio plugins in Nemu?
The sound is not very accurate for me :-|
But that's my machine, I guess :(
